- How do I place my first order?
- Discs you order straight from the site and we ship them from our Florida warehouse. Case work starts with a file: upload your scan on the milling or printing page and we design it, produce it, and send the finished case back to your lab. If you would rather try the material first, ask for a free 3D PRO sample disc and a first-order discount code ships with it.
- How do I get a free sample disc?
- Ask for one on the samples page. We send a free 3D PRO disc to U.S. dental labs, it arrives in three to five days, and a first-order discount code ships in the box. Tell us the shade you want and where to send it.
- How do I send you my files?
- Upload the scan on the milling or printing page. There is no account to create and no size limit you are likely to hit. For implant work, send your implant library with the scan and we design to it rather than guessing at the connection.
- Which zirconia series do you stock?
- Three series: 3D PRO multilayer, with a colour and strength gradient in a single disc; ST preshaded, a uniform shade throughout; and white discs for post-sinter staining. Thicknesses run from 10 mm to 25 mm. Anything shown as made to order is still orderable. We produce it for you.
- What are the sintering parameters for 3D PRO discs?
- Sintering parameters depend on your furnace and the restoration type, so we supply the manufacturer's recommended curve with your order rather than publishing a single figure here. Email lab@hizir3d.com with your furnace model and we will send the curve that applies to your discs.
- Are your materials FDA-listed?
- Yes. We say FDA-listed rather than cleared or approved because listed is what the manufacturers' certificates support, and we will not claim more than the paperwork does. If you need the certificate for a particular material or lot, ask and we will send it.
- Do your materials come with certificates?
- Yes. Alloys and ceramics ship with their IdentAlloy® or IdentCeram® certificate, which records the manufacturer, the composition, and the certificate number for your patient records.
- Do you use these materials yourselves?
- Yes. HiZir builds the Space Ti SLM printers, annealing furnaces and plasma polishing systems, and the AUDENTAL titanium and cobalt-chrome powders that run on them. What we sell you is what our own lab runs every day.
- When do orders ship?
- In-stock orders placed before 12:00 PM ET on a business day ship the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff, on weekends, or on U.S. holidays ship the next business day. Discs listed as made to order are produced before shipment and we confirm the expected ship date when you order.
- What does shipping cost?
- A flat $12.00 for Standard and $20.00 for Express, per order, anywhere we ship in the United States. The rate does not change with the size, weight or value of the order, so one disc and twenty cost the same to ship. There is no minimum order and no free-shipping threshold. We ship with UPS: Standard usually arrives in 3 to 6 business days and Express in 2 to 3, counted from the day the order leaves us.
- How long does a printed case take?
- Six business days from approval for standard work, or four with the rush option, which adds $40 to the case. Design and the resin model are already in the price. Turnaround starts when the design is approved, not when the file lands, so approving quickly is the fastest thing you can do.
- Where do you ship?
- Anywhere in the United States, Alaska and Hawaii included, out of our Florida warehouse. If you are outside the U.S., contact us before ordering so we can tell you what is possible rather than leave you with an order we cannot fill.
- Do I get a tracking number?
- Yes. Tracking is emailed the moment the order is marked shipped. If the email has not arrived and the order is showing as shipped, check the address on the order first, then email us and we will resend it.
- Can I cancel an order?
- Any time before it ships, at no charge. Email us the order number as soon as you know. Once a parcel is with the carrier we can no longer stop it, and once a case is in production the work is already done.
- What is your replacement policy?
- Opened discs are consumables, so we do not take them back. What we do instead is replace defective material free of charge: if a disc arrives cracked or chipped, or fails during normal use because of a material defect, we replace it at no cost to you including shipping. Email us your order number, the shade and thickness, and photographs of the defect. Full details are on our Returns & Replacement page.
- What if the parcel arrives damaged?
- Email lab@hizir3d.com within 5 business days of delivery with photographs of both the packaging and the contents. We file the claim with the carrier ourselves and send a replacement. You do not deal with UPS and you do not wait on the claim to get working material.
- Why can I not return an opened disc?
- Dental materials are consumables. Once a disc is unwrapped, mounted or milled we cannot sell it to anyone else, so we do not take opened discs back. What we do instead is replace defective material free, shipping included, which is the part that actually costs you when something goes wrong.
- What does not count as a defect?
- Damage from milling parameters, sintering curves or equipment run outside the manufacturer's published specification. Opened discs with nothing wrong with them. And ordering the wrong shade or thickness, which we will still help you sort out, but not as a defect claim.
- Do you print or mill cases for labs?
- Yes. Send us your scan and we design and produce the case: RPD frameworks, crowns and bridges, and full-arch frameworks in cobalt-chrome or titanium. Design and the resin model are included in the price. Standard cases ship in 6 business days; rush cases ship in 4 business days for a $40 rush fee.
- Which metals do you print in?
- Cobalt-chrome or titanium. Titanium is Ti-6Al-4V, roughly half the weight of cobalt-chrome, non-magnetic and biocompatible, which is where patients with metal sensitivities usually end up. Cobalt-chrome remains the long-standing choice for porcelain work. Tell us the case and we will tell you which we would use.
- What is included in the printing price?
- Design and the resin model, both. The price you are quoted is the price for a finished framework, not a starting figure that grows once the design work is counted.
- Who do you ship the finished case to?
- Back to your lab. We work for laboratories and we do not go around them to the dentist. The case returns to you and your relationship with the practice stays yours.
